CS Beatrice Askul Moe Receives Top Ministerial Award in Africa

Cabinet Secretary Beatrice Askul Moe was honoured with the Best Performing Minister - Africa Category award during the Thamani Africa Awards held in Nairobi. The ceremony was graced by Her Excellency Rebecca Nyandeng De Mabior, Vice President of South Sudan and Canon Dr. Ida Betty Odinga, Ambassador/Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kenya to United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

The recognition celebrated her leadership, dedication and commitment to excellence in coordinating Kenya’s integration within the East African Community. Coming ahead of Mother’s Day, the award also highlighted the transformative role women continue to play across Africa.

As the first woman Minister from the Turkana community, Honourable Beatrice Askul Moe noted that the achievement should inspire young girls to pursue education, leadership and their ambitions despite social and cultural barriers.
