Kenya Strengthens Support for Its Citizens and Businesses in South Sudan
Hon.Beatrice Askul Moe held a fruitful engagement with Kenyans living, working, and doing business in South Sudan, as a follow-up to the 1st Policy Dialogue Forum held in Juba in 2024 during the MSMEs Trade Fair. The meeting provided an opportunity to review progress made in addressing key challenges faced by Kenyans in the country, including ongoing efforts to fast-track border infrastructure projects in the Ateker Region. The engagement was attended by key officials, including Principal Secretaries Dr. Caroline Karugu (EAC Affairs), Harsama Kello (ASALs and Regional Development), and Benedict Watamba, Chargé d'Affaires at the Kenya Embassy in South Sudan, amongst other Ministry senior staff, underscoring Kenya’s commitment to supporting its citizens abroad and strengthening regional economic cooperation.
